Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use Pagely — PDF Maker ("Pagely", "the app"), published by North Stack Studio ("we", "us"). By installing or using Pagely you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Your licence to use Pagely

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Pagely on devices you control, for personal or internal business use. You may not resell the app, redistribute it outside Google Play, or attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or modify it except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted.

2. Your documents are yours

We claim no ownership of anything you scan, import or create. Documents are stored on your device and we never receive them, so we cannot access, moderate, recover or delete them. You are responsible for the legality of what you scan and for having the right to do so.

3. Back up your own work

Pagely deliberately excludes your documents from Android's cloud backup, which means they are not restored to a new device and are permanently lost if you uninstall the app, clear its data, or lose or reset your phone. Export or share anything you cannot afford to lose. We cannot recover it for you.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

• Pagely is free to use with advertising. Optional purchases remove ads and unlock additional features.
• All payments are processed by Google Play, subject to Google's own terms. We never receive your payment details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in Google Play → Subscriptions; cancellation stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the paid period.
• Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
• One-time purchases are tied to your Google account and can be restored on a new device.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy, and by any statutory right you have under your local consumer law. We cannot process payments or refunds directly.
• Prices may change; a change to a subscription price is notified by Google in advance and you may cancel before it takes effect.

5. Advertising

The free version shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. In the EEA and UK you are asked for consent first, and you can change that choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy options. What is collected is set out in the Privacy Policy. Some features can be unlocked by watching a rewarded ad; where no ad can be served we may unlock the feature anyway, at our discretion and subject to a daily limit.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Pagely to create, alter or distribute documents in order to commit fraud, forge identity or official documents, infringe someone else's rights, or break the law. Features such as text replacement, redaction and watermarking are provided for legitimate document work; how you use them is your responsibility.

7. No warranty

Pagely is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. Document processing — scanning, OCR, compression, merging, redaction and encryption — can produce imperfect results. Always check the output before relying on it, particularly where a document is legal, financial or medical, and particularly when redacting sensitive information. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, documents, profit or business arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Pagely in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

9. Changes and availability

We may update the app and these terms. Material changes to the terms will be reflected by a new effective date above; continuing to use Pagely afterwards means you accept them. We may also change or discontinue features, and we are not obliged to keep the app available indefinitely.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts there have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
